The Wood Chillum Ganesha Gange is a beautifully decorated chillum made from dark hardwood with a length of 18cm. This hand-cut, conical shaped chillum pipe is carved with beautiful motifs of leaves plus an image of Ganesha, a Hindu god with an elephant head.

Carved image of god of knowledge and wisdom

Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati, is seen as the god of knowledge and wisdom. He is able to remove all the obstacles in your path and he is known as the patron saint of travelers. Followers of Hinduism pray to this god before they begin a new challenge, such as a new home, job or study.

Head of an elephant

History tells that his father Shiva cut off the head of his son Ganesha, because he did not recognize him immediately and assumed that it was an intruder. When Shiva found out that he had taken a wrong decision, he ordered his servants to bring a head of the first living creature they encounter and that proved to be an elephant, Airavata.
