Stone Chillum Chalice Cobra 17cm ~ A beautifully finished, black stone chillum with a length of 17 cm and a diameter of 5.5 cm. This beautiful stone piece in the shape of a horn is provided with decorated cobras with on the top side protruding snakeheads with stretched neck.

 

Decorated snakeheads

A cobra will put his neck out when in danger, but these specimens that are carved around the stone pipe, are of no danger. They only watch over the precious contents and will accompany you at every drag from this exceptional soapstone chillum.
 

Chalice Chillum

The word chalice means a goblet but it has multiple meanings. The word also refers to marijuana, also known as ganja, that Rastafari frequently used and regarded as a gift from Jah.
 

Pipe with hose

The word chalice is also used for a type of waterpipe with a hose or tube, that rastafarians use to smokeganja from. The water causes a cooling effect and the hose ensures that the smoke has to travel a long way before it enters the mouth, this again has a cooling effect.
 

Ganja gift

This beautifully finished stone chillum is obviously not intended to fill with water, but the ganja is of course seen as welcome gift. To smoke the chilam according to tradition it is held in a vertical position, thereby clamping the chillum between the ring and middle finger or between the thumb and palm of the hand. The other hand is folded like a fist around it.
