All kratom-species are known for their soothing effect at higher doses (over 5 grams of leaves), but with the species from Malaysia, Bali and with so-called red kratom (the colour of the leaves and veins) a dreamy and soothing effect already sets in at lower doses (less than 5 grams).

This makes the Kratom Malaysia Shredded ideal for those who want to relax and meditate in a quiet place, without directly having to experience the strongly sedative effects of a high dose.

In the countries where the kratom tree occurs naturally, people finely chew the leaves in order to get the desired effect. You can however also make tea of it or grind the leaves into a powder, mix it with water or fruit juice and drink it all. Kratom has a bitter taste, so you could possibly also make a milkshake out of it. As according to experts the milk in the milkshake completely hides the bitter taste. You can also wash away the bitter aftertaste with a smoothie or with fruit. In short: you can be very creative with how you eventually ingest it.

How to use kratom safely

Do take care to always use kratom in safe conditions, meaning not in traffic or in combination with other substances like alcohol, cannabis or drugs.

General guidelines for dosing kratom:

• 2 to 5 grams act as stimulant with most species
• 5 grams and a few grams more, act as sedative with most species

Be careful with high doses and always start off with a lower dose. As stated you can always subsequently raise your dose. The effects of kratom kick in after about 10 minutes and on average last for 5 – 6 hours.
